Malta March 2015

Saudi Arabian Airlines Cargo TF-AMP Boeing 747-400 new to ANA in 1990 ex JA8094 seen in Malta taken 2nd March 2015.
My 2nd visit of 2015 at home in Malta for 10 days! There are few new & regular aircrafts I have seen in Malta so let's start what I saw. First aircraft I saw in Malta weeks before I got there was Saudi Arabian Airlines Cargo Boeing 747-400F in Icelandic registration TF-AMP new to All Nippon Airways from Japan in 1990 ex JA8094, later in 2007 it brought to Air Atlanta Icelandic with current registration & in 2010 was brought to Cargolux Airlines International from Luxembourg ex LX-ZCV. And finally it was brought back to Air Atlanta Icelandic in April 2012 & given to Saudi Arabian Airlines Cargo in a month later in 2012. It landed in Malta after 4pm from Saudi Arabia for a night stop (?) on 2nd March then it left on 3rd at 4am roughly.

Niki OE-IXG Embraer REG-190 new to Niki in 2011 ex OE-IHG seen in Malta taken 6th March 2015.
One regular aircraft in Malta from Austria is Niki. It's been 1 year Niki operated Malta from Vienna, Austria with Embraer ERJ-190. Funny is when it landed in Malta runway 31 on 6th March taxiway Charlie was closed for refurbishment, after it landed runway 31 it taxied via Delta but don't forget for a smaller plane it can slow down faster than Airbus or Boeing. So when Niki contacted Luqa Ground & parked, Luqa Ground told the pilot that Charlie is closed for refurbishment & it give the pilots a warning not to come Delta as it's currently only used for departing aircraft.

Libyan Airlines 5A-LAM Canadair CRJ-900 new to Libyan Airlines in 2010 seen in Malta taken 9th March 2015.
I wasn't expecting to see Libyan Airlines in Malta for a while due to the airspace ban for passengers by the European Union. The Libyan Airspace is still open only for private visitors I think it's only in Malta by a Maltese private airliner Medavia or any Libyan Airliners for maintenance. Libyan Airlines flight LA1003 5A-LAM is Canadair CRJ-900 new to Libyan Airlines in 2010 landed in Malta from Labraq- Libya for LTM maintenance. 3 of them aircraft are in storage, 4 active and 1 5A-LAL built in 2011 was blew up after hit by a rocket in Tripoli International Airport in Libya during Libyan War.

Mistral Airlines EI-DVA Boeing 737-300 new to VIVA Air in 2992 ex EC-703 seen in Malta taken 9th March 2015.

Finally Mistral Air from Italy. They have been in Malta a lot but not the main destination I think it's a charter flight. The airline that traveled to Malta is from Naples, Italy. This Aircraft EI-DVA is a Boeing 737-300 new to VIVA Air from Spain in June 1991 ex EC-703 then re-registered as EC-FFN in September 1991 & given to Iberia in September 1999. It brought to Frontier Airlines from the United States in January 2000 as N315FL then brought back to Europe with Axis Airways from France in 2004 as F-GIXM and Finally it brought to Mistral Air in 2007.

London Heathrow Airport, UK 11th March 2015

Hole view of London Heathrow Airport.
11th March 2015 a lovely British day in London Heathrow Airport in the United Kingdom. I fly with Air Malta flight  KM100 from Malta about to land in Heathrow we made 2 circles around London next in line to land however I have seen few British Airways planes in line to land. We landed at Heathrow 10:20am runway 09L a long taxi to the gate in Terminal 4 after crossing runway 27L. I did not take a lot of photos as I been filming full flight with Air Malta so these are the photos I took.

Ethiopian Airlines  ET-AOO Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner new to Ethiopian Airlines 2013 seen at London Heathrow, UK taken 11th March 2015.
Ethiopian Airlines ET-AOO parked near terminal 2 is a new Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner named Lake Tana it was new & delivered to Ethiopian Airlines in July 2013, it's also one of the main fleets I believe to fly to London Heathrow as well as other 787's like Air India, British Airways and Qatar Airways for example.

I always wanted to get British Airways Boeing 747-400 before if they all retire the fleet in the near future which starting the oldest till the latest. Unfortunately I can't get any registration on this aircraft cause the picture quality taken on the plane is not that good so I can't share any information of this plane but roughly it was brought to British Airways in 1990 parked near British Airways Hanger near Terminal 2.

Taken from my camcorder is set of foreign aircrafts at Terminal 2. When I landed at Heathrow I saw few lots of United Airlines and Air Canada in different fleets like United's Boeing 757, 767 & 787 and Air Canada Airbus A330 and Boeing 777. In this ramp I took is 4 United Airlines roughly 757 and 767, Singapore Airlines Airbus A380, couple Air Canada think it's a Boeing 767 and Air New Zealand Boeing 777 must be from Auckland, New Zealand via Los Angeles, USA.

British Airways G-BOAB Concorde new to BA in 1976 seen at London Heathrow, UK taken 11th March 2015.
And finally I did not expect to see this when my plane was parking I finally got a shot of Concorde! This aircraft G-BOAB new & delivered to British Airways in May 1976 funny enough it was withdrawn by BA in August 15th 2000 due to Air France Concorde crash in July 2000 suspending all Concorde flights until what causes the crash, Some BA Concorde were continue to fly till it was retired in 2003. So this aircraft you see hasn't been flying since the Air France crash.
