Carlisle, UK new flights - June 2018

Carlisle, UK will be resuming flights for the first time in 25 years by giving a great opportunity for tourism to experience Lake District which is closer to the airport.

Although their is not as lot of information about Carlisle, UK's flights behind all this after many years of rejection by the local council when Belgian carrier VLM wanted 4 flights per day from London City, UK back in 1996. Unfortunately Cumbria County Council rejected the idea due to financial support so the plan was dropped since.

The airline that choses the flights will be Scottish carrier Loganair by operating UK domestic flights to London Southend and Belfast-City. And first international flight for Carlisle, UK will be Dublin, Ireland. With flights to Dublin, Ireland for the main reason is for passenger travels will have benefits to connect flights to the United States instead of going to London, Edinburgh, Glasgow and Belfast by clearing US Immigration in Dublin for Aer Lingus or any American airliners this would help the market for Carlisle.

It's too early to tell for the future of Carlisle's future for the airport for Loganair but because the airport is own by Stobart Group, this could mean the future of their airliners, Aer Lingus Regional who is part of Stobart might seek a new hope for new flights to compete with Loganair.

Loganair will be operating Charlisle, UK in June 4th.

Aviation in Paris Charles de Gaulle, France June 2017

8th March 2018:

I've completely forgotten about my Paris Charles de Gaulle, France aviation photos due to my education back then & a lot of movements. I hope you've enjoyd them on my Facebook & Flickr pages, so for now enjoy the blog what I should have finished last year.

As I arrived in Paris Charles de Gaulle, France I've managed to get some spotting photos in the area while I was heading to Le-Bourget for Pairs Airshow. Taken from different dates, lets take a look what I've seen at Paris Charles de Gaulle, France. Some photos will have information & some will have featrues because their is a lot.

Air Baltic YL-CSC Bombardier CS300 delivered in March 2017 taken 23rd June 2017.

First one which is a lucky one. While I was waiting for my bus to the hotel, I came across Bombardier CS300 from Air Baltic. YL-CSC is a brand new CS300 & one of my first ones seeing it entered service in March 2017 & now primary use for this aircraft from Riga, Latvia to Paris Charles de Gaulle, France. According to Air Baltic, has 13 more CS300 on order while 7 are in service they will be replacing by Boeing 737-300 & 700 by 2020. Other future fleets for Air Baltic there will be the new Embraer E-Jet E2 by 2022 replacing Bombardier Dash 8 Q400.

Croatia Airlines 9A-CTH Airbus A319 delivered in 1999 taken 23rd June 2017.

Air Malta 9H-AEO Airbus A320 delivered in 2006 taken 25th June 2017.
Other than seeing some new aircraft in Paris region I want to see Air Malta in different countries other than the UK where I'm currently living at the monument. This is the first time I see our airline in different European country for spotting. 9H-AEO as flight KM478 arriving from Malta.

Azerbaijan Airlines 4K-AZ83 Airbus A320 new to Air Berlin in 2006 ex D-ABDD taken 25th June 2017.
Delta Air Lines N707TW Boeing 757-200 new to Trans World Airlines in 1997 taken 25th June 2017.
I've never seen Delta Air Lines Boeing 757 in Europe before only in Las Vegas, USA. Because Delta Air Lines is one of the largest Boeing 757's in the United States that flies not only US domestic flights & international flights to Canada, Mexico and across South America, it also flies Trans Atlantic to countries like Ireland, United Kingdom and France for example depending on the flight of origin. What I saw is a former Trans World Airlines (TWA) Boeing 757-200 getting ready for a flight I can't remember where that's not the point though. It's the registration you can tell it's former TWA with last two letters I will be doing a blog for that.

Air France F-GUGH Airbus A318 delivered in 2004 taken 25th June 2017.
This is a special one because I'm use to seeing Airbus A319 which is the second small Airbus aircraft till I came across F-GUGH which is an Airbus A318 the very smallest passenger aircraft built by Airbus which Air France operates more of these in Europe than British Airways has.

EasyJet G-EZGE Airbus A319 delivered in 2011 taken 15th June 2017.

Air France F-GTAE Airbus A321 delivered in 1998 taken 25th June 2017.
Bulgaria Air LZ-SOF Embraer ERJ-190 delivered in 2012 taken 25th June 2017.
Etihad Airways A6-EHH Airbus A340-600 delivered in 2007 taken in 26th June 2017
By the time I took this of Etihad, following week the aircraft was withdrawn also the rest of Airbus A340-600 during that year. One I saw featured F1 Special livery at the rear.
American Airlines N293AY Airbus A330-200 new to US Airways in in 2014 taken 26th June 2017.
Air Seychelles S7-VDM Airbus A330-200 new to Jet Airways in 2007 ex VT-JWE taken 26th June 2017.
Air Canada C-GFAF Airbus A330-300 delivered in 2000 taken 26th June 2017.

China Eastern Airlines B-7365  Boeing 777-300 delivered in 2016 taken 26th June 2017.
Air France F-GZCJ Airbus A330-200 delivered in 2002 taken 26th June 2017.

Flybe G-JECY Bombardier Dash 8 Q400 delivered in 2007 taken 26th June 2017.
And finally we come to my Flybe flight to Southampton, UK if you like to see more, click the Full Flight Video section now. Also more Paris Charles de Gaulle aviation photos on my Flickr page.

Aviation in Amsterdam, The Netherlands February 2018

Today this is going to be a bit different compare to my past spotting blogs I shared. This time I will be putting the aircraft information on the bottom of the photos like I always do in order of when their taken because their is a lot "In some photos."

Flybe G-FBJG Embraer ERJ-175 delivered in 2012 taken 5th February 2018.

After I've disembark my flight, I'm a big fan of night shots from my phone so I took this good Flybe photo from the apron before I went inside the warm terminal building.

British Airways G-BNWA Boeing 767-300ER delivered in 1990 taken 6th February 2018.

As it was my first day in Amsterdam, The Netherlands it's spotting day. Unfortunately because it was at sub-zero on the 6th February I didn't take much photos so I decided to enjoy the sights in the city.

Turkish Airlines TC-LOA Airbus A330-300 new to Skymark Airlines in 2014 ex JA330A taken 7th February 2018.

Lufthansa D-AINA Airbus A320neo delivered in 2016 taken 7th February 2018.
This one is special because what you see the sticker of the fuselage is Lufthansa's first ever Airbus A320neo as a launch customer in 2016 only two years old!

BA CityFlyer G-LCYV Embraer ERJ-190 new to Republic Airlines in 2006 ex N163HQ taken 7th February 2018.

Cargolux LX-VCN Boeing 747-8F delivered 2016 taken 7th February 2018.

This one is also special because for the first time I have seen the new Boeing 747-8 AS I'm use to seeing the old Boeing 747-400. My thoughts of the aircraft when this Cargolux was on final, it was really quiet for a jumbo jet! Because their are lack of civil airliners to be caring passengers, it's only Lufthansa and Air China I have seen online so far while the others are freighter and VIP.

KLM "KLM Asia" PH-BQI Boeing 777-200 delivered in 2004 taken 7th February 2018.
AirBridge Cargo VP-BIK Boeing 747-400F delivered in 2008 taken 7th February 2018.

China Southern Airlines B-2072 Boeing 777F delivered in 2010 taken 7th February 2017.

Air France G-GTAE Airbus A321 delivered in 1998 taken 7th February 2018.

KLM PH-BFG Boeing 747-400 delived in 1990 taken 7th February 2018.

With sad news about the retirement of KLM's Boeing 747-400 as they are retiring this year throughout 2021 I'm not sure about the Combi because of no information.

Aeromexico XA-ADD Boeing 787-9 Dreamliner delivered in 2017 taken 7th February 2018.

Matinair PH-MPS Boeing 747-400F new to Singapore Airlines in 2990 ex 9V-SMF taken 7th February 2018.

This one could be my best aircraft photo for 2018 with the beautiful Dutch dawn of a Boeing 747-400 on final approach. The aircraft I will quickly talk about, this is Martinair's only aircraft a Boeing 747-400F PH-MPS. From what I understand from Martinair is that the former fleets that are recently withdrawn the McDonnell Douglas MD-11 this is due to the fact the aircraft is expensive to run so it has no choice to retire with some for scrap & some are now with FedEx.

TAP Air Portugal CS-TNS Airbus A320 delivered in 2009 taken 7th February 2018.

Air Europa EC-MQP Boeing 737-300 delivered in 2017 taken 7th February 2018.

Eurowings Europe OE-IQD Airbus A320 new to Eurowings in 2010 ex D-AEWE taken 7th February 2018.

Air Baltic YL-CSH Bombardier CS300 delivered recently in that month taken 7th February 2018.

Cargolux Italia LX-OCV Boeing 747-400 delivered in 1999 taken 7th February 2018.

If you like to see more of my Amsterdam, The Netherlands spotting feel free to look on my Flickr where you'll found more photos that's not on my blog.

Cyprus Airways fleet information (March 2018)

After the collapse of Cyprus Airways owned by the Cypriot Government till ceased operations in January 2015, Russian carrier S7 Airlines only 40% has started operations again since 28th October 2017 with the first flight St Petersburg, Russia. With more destinations coming in upcoming weeks & months Cyprus Airways will hope to continue it's future.

Current fleet

Airbus A319

  • 5B-DCW - Delivered to Northwest Airlines in November 1999 N308NB & delivered to S7 in June 2007 VP-BTO
It's too early to tell what the future fleet can handle with one Airbus A319 in the fleet with several destinations round the corner. Maybe with S7 owning part the airline it might bring more Airbus A319 to Cyprus Airways.
