Next travel movenment for August 2016

Recently I been having a news from KLM Cityhopper flight from Southampton, UK to Amsterdam, The Netherlands KLM announced on my booking they will change their fleet from Fokker 70 to Embraer E190 due to high booking from KLM. It's a shame I won't be going on Fokker 70 because they are due to be retired this year and next year. Since this will be my first time travel onboard Embraer aircraft E-Jet family I'm still looking forward what it looks like compare to Boeing & Airbus.

After KLM nothing has changed from Flybe's fleet changing it's still Bombardier Dash 8 Q400. In October I'm also returning back to Malta due to non-aviation related for very short days we'll get into the October travel movement after Amsterdam, The Netherlands. I have not booked back to the UK from Malta yet this will might not be full flight video depends who with as I covered almost everything in London Gatwick, UK.

Aircraft from passengers to freight

As planes gets older, it needs to go i.e. withdrawn for scrap or transform into freight. As I done a blog about old Airbus A320's why it needs to be scrapped, I will take a look at my photos from planes that were use for passengers and freight. So for that we have to go back in time for my collection.

TNT OO-TNQ Boeing 737-400 seen in Catania, Italy taken 12th April 2013.

As Boeing 737 Classics reach at the end of their life for passengers depending what year these planes were built I think the rules if planes are 15 years old or more these planes have to be withdrawn from the airline to their storage place till the final decision to scrap it or turn into freight. When I was in Catania, Italy I was boarding Air Malta flight to Malta where I spot TNT OO-TNQ a 1998 Boeing 737-400 new to Aeroflot VP-BAM this is a later Classic series when the 737 Next Generation become popular.

Atlantic Airways G-JMCT Boeing 737-300 seen in Bournemouth, UK taken 26th June 2014.

Then we go a little bit older a 26 year old Boeing 737-300 from Atlantic Airways G-JMCT new to Philippine Airlines ex EI-BZH from 1990. This might have been my last shot of Atlantic Airways for now because when this was taken in Bournemouth, UK in July 2014 I heard Atlantic Airways ended their service in Bournemouth.

KLM Boeing 747-400 Combi seen in Amsterdam, The Netherlands taken 20th July 2014.

I already mentioned this one a couple of years ago. I'll refresh your memory. This is a Boeing 747-400 Combi from KLM Royal Dutch Airlines around 1989-1992 area. 747 Combi is mixed between half passengers on the front of the aircraft and cargo at the back of the aircraft there are also Boeing 737-200 Combi I think somewhere in Canada are still in use. However news from KLM they will withdrawl their Boeing 747-400 including Combi in 2018 depending on the age.

Martinair PH-MCR McDonnell Douglas MD-11 seen in Amsterdam, The Netherlands taken 22nd July 2014.

Some aircraft were not new for passengers some are new only for freight like we see these days a Boeing 747-8, Boeing 777, Airbus A330. Martinair for example use to have McDonnell Douglas MD-11 brand new from McDonnell Douglas around 1995. Recently Martinair has withdrawn their MD-11 which is a shame because it's not that old yet. The reason why Martinair did it, is because to run a MD-11 from Martinair is very expensive to maintain, lack of parts from recycled MD-11's and fuel. That also could be the reason why KLM got rid of their MD-11 in the first place. I think FedEx, UPS and Lufthansa Cargo is the main airliners in the world that use cargo use to this day. It's still not too late to get many MD-11's as you can.

FedEx N725FD Airbus A300-600 seen in Dublin, Ireland taken 6th February 2014.

Then we come to Airbus. FedEx currently has 68 Airbus A300-600 in the fleet it's just the same deal old A300 even A310 gets old, it turns into freight so no comment ask. The shot I took is a 1990 Airbus A300 that was new to Egyptair in 1990 so I could say a very late A300 series as Airbus A320 had more orders & focus on the future when A330 & A340 was being planned & built in the early 90's.

DHL Air G-BMRA Boeing 757-200 seen in Malta taken 6th July 2016.

And finally we come to Boeing 757's. Depending on the age, most 99% here in Europe are from British Airways DHL European Air Transport and DHL Air almost own every ex British Airways Boeing 757's some are with FedEx. My recent photo is a 1986 Boeing 757 ex British Airways same registration in Malta. There is also a Boeing 767 freight I don't have at the monument I'll keep a lookout in the future. I also have a Boeing 777 freight I decide on this blog is one 1 photo per different countries where I been.

Southwest Airlines livery throughout the years

So next month we come up to 1 year when I went to Non-European country in the United States of America as you know I had an amazing trip from non-aviation photography. So today I will compare Southwest Airlines liveries. Because I never went to the US before I never saw this green Southwest Airlines and special liveries like SeaWorld I won't mention any of those liveries this is only my photos I took in Las Vegas while I was on a tour in the city. So lets take a look then.

This photo is the previous & still current Southwest Airlines livery featuring dark blue fuselage even green as well. There is not much to say about it other than that the Southwest Airlines logo is located at the tail red & orange stripes and this curly thing orange & hole red colour at the bottom of the aircraft. The winglets has the same look as the tail as with Southwest Airlines logo bur because I never seen Southwest Airlines before, I give it some credit it's not bad look.

Now we come to the new & current livery and WOW what huge improvements! First off the livery is a bit more darker blue or purple look with Southwest Airlines logo located on the fuselage and engines. The tail looks nice with yellow and red same on winglets however the love heart is missing. Now I mention about the love heart, it's South West Airlines new logo but somehow did Southwest Airlines forgot to put the heart on the aircraft? or located in the cabin. So we come to the end of Southwest Airlines livery to compare I'm going to vote for the new livery because it was my first time spotted it when I landed in the US then the old livery second. Next time I go to the United States I might explain more into Southwest Airlines i.e. history.

Jet2 vs Jet2holidays livery

Well I wouldn't say throughout the years because Jet2 has special liveries they feature in some aircrafts. First off we have to go back in time. Jet2 callsign CHANNEX first introduced in October 2002 & first operated in February 2003 based from Leeds, UK  to operate British Tourist to the popular holiday resort only up north of England, Scotland and Belfast, Northern Ireland.

Jet2 G-CELK Boeing 737-300 seen in London Gatwick, UK taken 23rd January 2016.

I'm not going to anymore information about the airline because I only do ceased airlines. Lets start with Jet2 first livery shall we? this photo was the first Jet2 livery with gray fuselage. To me the livery looks a bit bland in a way I mean gray is not my favorite colour out there. When I found a new livery for Jet2 I thought it's a new generation, turns out it's not so lets look at the next photo & why I love it.

Jet2 G-EDFN Boeing 737-300 seen in Malta taken 28th June 2016.

This known as Jet2holidays livery featuring blue tail with the sun, wiglets also same thing with blue & sun and the engines is blue with Jet2holidays logo. The reason why I love the livery is because the fuselage is perfect, the tail, engine and winglets are perfect match to promote their Jet2holiday brand. Most of the Jet2holiday liveries you will find is their Boeing 737-300, 737-800 and Boeing 757-200 aircraft while still have their Jet2 livery so for that I have to sat Jet2holiday livery wins.

Would I travel Jet2 in the future? It has to be yes and no. Yes because there are few old 737 Classics and Boeing 757's still in use these days and no because I live in the south of England the company is based up north of England in Leeds, East Midlands, Manchester, Newcastle & new base Birmingham starting March 30th 2017. So why Jet2 won't operate in London area like Gatwick, Stansted and Luton?  I think the only route Jet2 use to operate in the south of England is only in Bournemouth for Jet2's cargo service back in the day. I understand if they do operate in London during charter services but they need to travel down the south other than Scotland and Northern Ireland. So oneday I will travel Jet2 in the long distant future.

Maltese Travel Agents the airline logos of the past

When I was in Malta recently I went on a quest to discover retro airline logos from ceased travel agents and existing travel agents still show retro stuff. So lets take a look what I found & I explain these old logos before my I was & wasn't even born.

Lets take a look at the original Air Malta logo from 1974-1990 I don't know how long travel agents been closed down for because today's it's all done through internet but before I was born everybody goes to travel agents or use the phone before internet exist. During the closure of travel agents around the 1980's, 1990's and possibly early 2000's, these retro airline logos left abandoned. After surviving through Malta's rough winters and very hot summer seasons, the pain work is still in very good condition! I'm not sure if it's oil paint if so, oil paint are really hard to come off & void from being rusted away. Since it's been covered from the wall above it makes it very good condition.

Before we go go other old airline logos, there are existing travel agents still shows Air Malta previous livery of stickers and models. I don't know why the model is on windowsill because the sunlight is eating away to paint starting to fade & it's 9H-AEO. With the sticker is Air Malta Airbus A310 when Air Malta use to lease it when I was a baby due to orders of their Boeing 737-300's and Airbus A320. It brings me memories of the old Air Malta livery.

Then we come to other airline logos. We still have another Air Malta logo from 1974, next we have the first British Airways logo from 1972, UTA from 1963 was ceased in 1992, Qantas from 1968 on the top right, Sabena was ceased in 2001 and Alitalia from 1969. As I mentioned about ceased airline companies, I believe in Malta there are more ceased logos still around today if so I will find out because there are history of ceased airlines.

Next we come back to the same travel agent that I mentioned about Air Malta model on the windowsill we have a British Airways logo from 1982-1997. This is the only sign that' still in use on behalf of British Airways today generation  by looking at the logo brings me back memories because I once travel with BA with that logo in the mid 90's. So let's go back to British Airways again where I found more hidden treasure!

Take a look at this! British Airways ticket & booking information office I'm not sure if it's still opens today as you can rely on the building. This is a 1972 British Airways banner with Japan Airlines sticker on top of British Airways banner. Hold up, were not done yet as I save this till last as I keep seeing it growing up.

We have this, lots of logos and airline stickers from a blast to the past before I was born. The photos are not great because it's taken from my phone so I go disguise waving my phone around acting I was playing Pokemon Go. What we have is British Airways huge banner, Lufthansa logo that never changed in today's generation, Japan Airlines, EgyptAir and Continental I can't see the rest of the stickers because my phone is not that great with cameras, Amazingly no Air Malta logo for a travel agent unless they do or use to deal with foreign airlines. There is one I miss out which is Iberia however I'm back in Malta in the next 3 months so I will look out for more. If you are thinking about coming to Malta & find old airline logos I suggest come to Valletta  I won;t mention where about so I leave it up to you & find out. I like to thank Air Malta on Facebook for uploading my first photo of Air Malta I should be on their Facebook page soon.

Future travel movements for 2017

I like to take this topic a bit seriously for a monument because I'm thinking about my future & my travel movements for next year as we have 6 months till 2017. So the first step is where will I or might go next year?

Here is some ideas:

Europe:

  • Malta - Due to my current process of moving back there as soon as possible
  • Ireland - This is because my plan was cancelled this year
  • Spain - Request to Barcelona, Madrid or Majorca
  • Italy - Catania plan to experiment a Volotea Boeing 717 flight in Easter from Malta
  • Cyprus - Travel on 2 day trip from Malta - Larnaca with Emirates Boeing 777
  • United Kingdom - As I'm currently living here as I try to live back in Malta visiting the UK will be unknown reason for UK leaving the EU as I changed my travel policy unless single market can still be used like Switzerland.
North America:

  • United States of America - New York JFK, Los Angeles, Las Vegas or San Francisco
  • Canada - Toronto or Vancouver
Asia:

  • Japan - Tokyo Narita because I was originally going to go this year but cancelled due to other events here in the Unite Kingdom.

These are my ideas for 2017 because my announcement I made on Facebook last week is that I'm in a current process of going back to college in the UK. If I get into college & study with aviation related 99% I might be traveling to Malta on a break during half term 2017 & help me to do a bit of training. The college course cost a lot of money. Visiting Japan is one of my biggest request I like to travel too because I like to challenge myself travel long haul on my own. Visiting the United States again I love to go like New York & discover aviation out there I would try visiting the United States so visiting the US will be with my friends. If I can't get into college then I will continue to travel more in 2017 like move back to Malta & start my own travel business full time.

Airshow news & announcment

I hope you enjoy my blog of Farnborough International Airshow 2016! I have an announcement relating another airshow. If you are living in Hampshire, Isle of Wight or Dorset area in the UK, Bournemouth Air Festival returns on 18th-21st August 2016 featuring YES Red Arrows again & other war aircraft going to be display at Bournemouth Pier this will be my first time I will visit Bournemouth Air Festival however the event is going to be a bit similar like 70th Anniversary D'Day only some military aircraft I have never seen before. I haven't made my mine which date I will visit Bournemouth Pier, I'll let you know on Facebook. For now it's time to relax from aviation photography.

Where did Boeing 717 come from?

Boeing 717 is a twin-engine & narrow-body jet airliner from Boeing & designed by McDonnell Douglas. Before we go into my photos of the Boeing 717 we need to take a look back where it began since now I mentioned McDonnell Douglas. This photo was my first Boeing 717 in Catania, Italy EI-FBK taken 12th April 2013.
Boeing 717 first flew in September 2nd 1998 as a replacement of the McDonnell Douglas DC-9 as we say a new generation of the DC-9 powered by Rolls-Royce BR715 turbofan located the back of the fuselage. Boeing 717 was introduced in October 2nd 1999 with AirTran Airways in the United States and few more airlines with Delta Air Lines, Volotea, Hawaiian Airines and Qantas. As it was designed from McDonnell Douglas in October 1995 two years before it merged with Boeing. The Boeing 717 was orignally named McDonnell Douglas MD-95 after the MD-90 however Boeing was still building the MD-90 till 2000 so half is Boeing & half is McDonnell Douglas. So what makes Boeing ceased their 717 with not many aircraft been built? Is it because of financial problems?

Volotea EI-FGH Boeing 717 seen in Malta taken 28th Jun

The answer is yes because Boeing lost $2.7 billion USD contract in Decembeer 2003 from Air Canada who built Embrear E-Jet series and Bombardier CRJ200  over Boeing 717. In January 2005 Boeing announced they will ceased production of their Boeing 717 & ceased out on April 2006 after finishing the final Boeing 717 aircraft to AirTran and Midwest Airlines in May 2006. The Boeing 717 was the final aircraft that was built in Long Beach Airport, USA from the McDonnell Douglas design company of this aircraft. There are 156 Boeing 717 aircraft ever been built some now are in service in the United States, Australia with Qantas and Europe with Volotea Europe's only Boeing 717 in service.

Norwegian Air liveries

London Gatwick, UK 1st March 2015.
Photos are in no order I am going to share different liveries between Norwegian Air Shuttle, Norwegian Air International and Norwegian Long Haul. First aircraft from the Boeing 737-800 family is 3-in-1! All aircraft liveries as different trail. First aircraft from Air Shuttle is LN-NOT aircraft named: Piet Hien who was a Danish scientist was born 16th December 1905 died 17th April 1996. Next livery is an Irish registration EI-FHD from Air International operating from London Gatwick, UK and Cork, Ireland to any EU destinations. With the livery believe it or not, all liveries from Norwegian Air International is all white so I can't explain more in any other fleets. Lastly LN-DVP aircraft named: Aksel Sandemose who was a Danish-Norwegian writer.

Then we come to my recent photo in Malta taken 6th July 2016. This tail livery of this Boeing 737-800 LN-NIF named Manna Canth who was a Finnish writer and social activist born 1844 died 1897 aged 53.

And then we come to Norwegian Long Haul liveries. However I only have one photo of EI-LNG before it was re-registered to LN-LNG Boeing 787-8 Dreamliner named Edvard Munch who was a Norwgian painter and printer born 1863 died 1944. So now we come to the end of Norwegian liveries for now however travelling with them will be my request to go long haul in the future & I hope to explain more on what different tail & bit of history.

Red Arrows flying over Portsmouth, UK 22nd June 2016

Last years America's Cup in Portsmouth, UK was a disaster due to UK's bad weather with bad tides & cancelling Red Arrow display so the event was cancelled. In recent America's cup here in Portsmouth the event wen't very well & seeing the Red Arrows again.

Before America's Cup began, Red Arrows flew over Portsmouth and parts of Isle of Wight they flew over Southsea Common I thought they flew at a different direction because there base was at Bournemouth, UK. Anyway this was the first photo & first flying display of the Red Arrows as part of the opening event it only flew on 22nd July not on other dates or the final day.

I have chosen some of my popular photos similar to Farnborough International Airshow. If you look back few years back, Red Arrows flew a similar display like D'Day Anniversary. The only thing I love about the Red Arrows is when they lift up to the sky & drops down with smoke coming out of the Red Arrows. Because of recent crash on land, Red Arrows are no longer doing display near residential homes I think so instead they can do it by sea like Portsmouth and upcoming Bournemouth Air Festival so they save our lives if crash on water.

And now the drop! after when they drop, they split & continue doing more stunts till re-unites. I'll show you few more photos this time closing up.

Oh yeah the colour smoke. It make it like the Union Jack. I remember when Red Arrows flew to Malta in 2012, when Air Malta celebrates their new livery, the Red Arrows was flying by Air Malta with red smoke making like our Maltese flag for Malta International Airshow.

Never forget the love heart! When I was in Farnborough there was 2 planes try to make it like a love heart but it doesn't look that good so I prefer the Red Arrows. It's not my favorite one because when they were in Portsmouth couple of years ago the weather was beautiful not a single cloud. Because the smoke is red I wish it was blue.

So now we come one last photo. This is the best close up I took because there were a lot of people in the way with their cameras. Overall I enjoyed the Red Arrows around Portsmouth America's Cup & I hope it will fly again next year.

Farnborough International Airshow 2016 Part 7: The Finale

Now we come to the final blog of Farnborough International Airshow 2016. We are going on a little exhibition from BAE Systems and Airbus & other parts. So lets start with BAE Systems.

Yes I remember you! When I was 13 years old I was onboard that Eurofighter Typhoon I did get on the flight deck with a photo of me but I lost the photo... That's not the reason why I came to BAE Systems. When I was there in 2004 there was a flight simulator I'm not sure if it's for Eurofighter I managed to have a go & I flew 70% on the simulator when I got on it recently I flew 90%. There is also some military stuff in the BAE Systems I do miss the old days like BAE 146 they seem to forgotten these days just fighters & aircraft carriers.

Then I wen't to Airbus Exhibition featuring the gigantic Airbus A350 look but wait to you see inside it looks really cool & glad I went!

Yes we have an Airbus A350-1000 Model so it's not an XWB. When this version starts to fly in the future, it will compeat with the Boeing 777-300ER and Boeing 777X series. According to Airbus it will discontinue the Airbus A330. The otherside of the model shows the cabin inside it's on my Facebook page. I almost forgot I wen't inside a demo cabin of the Airbus A330neo! I forgot to took a photo "Shame on you!"

Then we also got Airbus A400M Atlas model. Looks like a standard model? yes but what I found it cute is that the propellers actually moves! I notice there is a satellite if it's from Airbus 99% yes because they do space program I think it's only use Airbus A400M and Airbus A330 Voyager encase of war.  Also there was virtual reality I tried it it looks amzing! the idea what I looked into the virtual reality is that I was inside the Airbus A400M.

Unfortunately I came at the wrong time. I went to look at Boeing as it's now been 100 years but the exhibition was closed. DANG! I was too late during the end of the airshow.

The Rolls-Royce Trent 1000 model! When I first looked at the model the turbine turned like the Airbus A400M model. After I had a quick research about this model of the engine I though it was from Boeing 777-300 series because the look of the blades but wait I WAS WRONG! It's from a Boeing 787 Dreamliner. The Boeing 777 engines are from General Electric GE90 by GE Aviation. Rolls- Royce did the 900 series is from Airbus A380.

And finally we have The Red Arrow model! Look at that! isn't she beautiful?  I believe this is also a flying model because I heard some moving from the kids using the remote control ANY true Red Arrow lovers wants to own this model I know someone who loves this photo so much she wants to take it.

So now we finally come to an end of Farnborough International Airshow 2016 blog! I hope you enjoyed all of my 7 blogs it was a good airshow this year & I hope to look forward for Farnborough International Airshow 2018!

Farnborough International Airshow 2016 Part 6: Flying Displays

Next blog will be flying displays! Please note: these are one of my favorite shots so don't be judged out if there is something missing during the airshow. Also there might be small information of these planes. Other planes will be on my YouTube Channel that's not in this blog.

So we have the first aircraft on display the Airbus A380. I already mention in Part 1 of the Blog I won't be showing you all the display the A380 did it's on my Facebook page. I filmed and took a photo of the A380 at the same time it was amazing display for a double decker jumbo.

This is one of the craziest airshow stunt I have ever seen! This is a Pitts S2S when it was on display I thought the plane was going wrong & might crash when I heard the engine went strange. Also there were few big bang from cannons one with big black smoking while Pitts S2S flew over it and the colour red, white & blue clouds to make it like the Union Jack I thought it looks very cool!

The we have the Goodyear Crosair FG-1 from 1945 I believe a North American plane from Goodyear that builds like race cars. When the US was at war in World War 2, these planes were used for the Americans & Japanese war around the Pacific Ocean & Vietnam War too I believe. From the sound of the engine after landing, it sounds like a classic North American plane I have ever heard. It feels more American.

We got 2-in-1 a Boeing 727 with  Blades Aerobatic Team. I think when the Boeing 727 was rotated up more the Blades Aerobatic Team was also doing stunts too in different direction while the Boeing 727 changes direction. I did miss the Boeing 727 landing because I was going inside the Airbus A380.

Next we got what I call a loud machine! The F-35. I filmed both from my camera and my mobile phone while I was filming I accidentally swear twice when my YouTube video is coming soon. When F-35 stopped in the air turning left towards me I though it looks like Darth Vader inside "I have you now!" when it flew I felt vibrating between the floor and my trousers.

Next we have a Eurofighter Typhoon. Little bit a history on this one I found out. It first flew in 1994 & entered service in 2003. The hole reason why it took so long. it's because during the early 90's the Cold War collapse due to political issues meaning these aircraft were long term delay on order. Back to the display. I tried to take photos at the back with orange fire showing I manage to take a few it'll be o my Facebook page all I say is, it's Sonic BOOM the faster than the speed of sound!

Of course I never forget the B-17 last remaining airworthy in Europe nicknamed Sally B. I won't go into history about the B-17 because we seem them in movies, flying displays across Britain & France during D'Day it's one of Europe's heroic aircraft in the history of aviation. As this country last the remain of the survivors who flew this plane, it's very sad to see them go. Looking back to 2014 in Portsmouth, UK I'm not sure if B-17 showed up.

Then we got Airbus A400M Atlas with The Red Arrows. I thought there was 1 Airbus A400M because it was the second plane that flew after Airbus A380. However it turned out it did 2 A400M's!

Then we come to The Red Arrows again. Because of a plane crashed in Shoreham, UK last year the Red Arrows has scrapped or banned flying displays near residential homes instead they can fly by sea we'll go into the next blog after Part 7. So for now they can also do normal flying displays.

Then we come to the last one the P8 from Boeing or a Boeing 737 if you wan't to call that. As my day in Farnborough, UK was over I was on a double decker bus to the train station till I spotted a P8 taking off on a display that I forgot to take a picture. Before the bus moved I manage to get this photo.

Remember! These are my best photos, go on my YouTube Channel and Facebook to see more of my Farnborough International Airshow shots.

Now we are coming to the final Part The Exhibition.

Farnborough International Airshow 2016: Part 5 Non-Airshow Planes

Before we head to last remaining blogs for Farnborough International Airshow, here are non-airshow aircraft are not flying display! I have chosen 4 of my favorite photos I took.

VistaJet 9H-VTC Bombardier Global 5000 taken 16th July 2016.

First aircraft draws to my attention is this Bombardier Global 5000 from VistaJet registered 9H-VTC from Malta. Vistajet isn't Maltese it's a Swiss buisness airline with satellite facilities from some London airports in the UK, Farnborough, UK, Malta, Dubai, UAE, Beijing, China, Hong Kong, China, Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, Lagos, Nigeria, Salzburg, Austria and Zurich, Switzerland. VistaJet only allows two charter flights only from Austria and Malta.

Med East Jet N737CC Boeing 737-700 taken 16th July 2016.
Next we have is Med East Jet. Mid East Jet is a charter airline based from Saudi Arabia in American registrations being used for domestic and international scheduled & charter flights normally based from King Abdulaziz Airport in Saudi Arabia. The aircraft N737CC is a Boeing 737-74Q(BBJ) or normally Boeing 737-700 built in 1999 very early 737 Next Generation aircraft. Unfortunately there is no research & information about the airline so lets carry on.

Brazilian Air Force PT-ZNF Embrear KC-390 taken 16th July 2016.
Next is Brazilian Air Force (Forca Aerea Brasileira) I never seen this strange military aircraft before I thought it looks like an Antonov for sure. This aircraft is a Embrear KC-390 PT-ZNF this is a second prototype just been built in March this year & first flew on 28th April 2016 so I'm guessing it must been in Farnborough, UK for a test flight. In general I have never thought Embrear did military aircraft before after my years seeing passenger aircraft. There is no information for now.

Omega Tanker N974VV McDonnel Douglas DC-10 taken 16th July 2016.
And finally we come to another classic! What we have here for the first time in Aircraft Aviation in Europe's history is a McDonnell Douglas DC-10! new to Japan Airlines in 4th April 1979 ex JA8538. It was brought over to Omega Air in April 2006 N974VV being transformed to a refueling station for jet fighters on training missions or at war in the Middle East. Did you know? Omega Tanker also has a Boeing 707 still in service today? yes only 2 in the fleet and 1 DC-10. I have no idea why is came to Farnborough, UK I think it's a lucky bonus for me because these days DC-10's are become rare & limited service because FedEx are being withdrawn replacing Boeing 767-300F and Boeing 777F.

Coming to Part 6 I am making flying displays on my favorite shots.
