Merry Christmas!

Another year is almost over and we are coming to an end of the 2010's as we're approaching to 2020 this is a different Christmas Message from Aircraft Aviation in Europe.

Back in 2012 I've started creating Aircraft Aviation in Europe on Facebook for a little fun to my friends who are spotters & slowly share to other aviation pages on Facebook. Originally in late 2011 I started on YouTube called The Airline Spotter with a Maltese Cross & a image of a plane you see on my logo only based in Malta International Airport. The name got a bit boring & it did not do well for start so by re-name my aviation site on YouTube, I went onto Facebook and name Aircraft Aviation in Europe only because I enjoy travelling across the continent my ideal is to travel Europe for aviation spotting in different airports & travel different European airliners. During the mid 2010's, my Facebook page is slowly getting popular when I visited countries such as Ireland, Italy and The Netherlands other than keep going to Malta over & over again while I live in the UK. Then I wanted to go far not related to this but I did want to share aviation photography as I went to the United States in 2015 & my page is slowly getting better with American spotters.

Moving backwards to 2013 I've created both Blogger to share my spotting based on where I've been in a article look with photos right till 2016 ish I've been doing news on aircraft, airliners and airports. In 2016 I've created a Flickr account to share more of my spotting photos. With YouTube, my spotting did somewhat well some did not so by 2016, my YouTube Channel is focused more on Full Flight videos with most my full flights did extremely well as of present.

So we come into the late 2010's & that is in 2018 where my trips was amazing if you remember my older views if not to my newer viewers, I went to Asia in Taiwan and Japan where I've done four amazing flight reports on China Airlines, spotting in both Taipei & Tokyo Narita. I think Taiwan was interesting for me let alone my hotel room is by the runway but because of my jet-lag, I've stayed up all night watching planes landing till I fell asleep ish on my Tokyo flight. If you like to see my blogs on my Asian adventures, they are in the blog from 2018 on Blogger or head to my other social media sites.

As we came to 2019, my travels was a little bit limited since I went to Asia in 2018. Other than Malta I went to Ireland and Germany for my friend's stag weekend then back to Malta again one of my family members is not well so I went back & forwards. As my final flight for 2019 back to Malta begins this weekend, this will be memorable for all the flights I've went since I've started social media. I won't explain on here about next year's travel & spotting so stay tune for what's going to happen in Winter/Spring.

On behalf of Aircraft Aviation in Europe, I wish you all a very Merry Christmas of 2019 and a Happy New Year of 2020.

Merry Christmas!

See you in 2020

Boeing 737 Next Generation information - the final production

Boeing has finally ended it's production of the Boeing 737NG where it all started back in February 9th 1997 of it's first flight with the Boeing 737-600 then the introduction in December 17th 1997 to Southwest Airlines.

We're talking about the Boeing 737-800 the world's popular Boeing 737NG aircraft surviving it's popular customers to KLM, Ryanair, Norwegian and Southwest Airlines. Originally built in 1997 & delivered in 1998 to Hapaq-Lloyd in Germany it proved to be a long stretched version to replaced Boeing 737-400 competing Airbus A320.

KLM received it's final Boeing 737NG production the Boeing 737-800 that recently arrived in Amsterdam, The Netherlands in December 18th 2019 registered PH-BCL.

Since the Boeing 737 MAX production will be suspended next month & currently grounded worldwide from it's airliners, it's too early to tell if Boeing 737 MAX will continue it's production & delivered Boeing will be facing more crisis in 2020 for their future of the Boeing 737 MAX.

TUI Airways information to Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt (2nd December 2019)

TUI Airways from the UK have been waiting for years if flights to Sharm El-Sheikh, Egypt will start flying again after Metrojet Flight 9268 four years ago crashed in Sinai Peninsula killing everyone on board since them all UK airliners as well as other European carriers suspended. Some already resumed operations a while ago with only UK airliners left out & desperate for answers by British customers because Sharm El-Sheikh's tourism is more popular with the British.

As Monarch and Thomas Cook Airlines are gone, TUI Airways will be the only British Charter carrier will be resuming Sharm El-Sheikh with all details on these UK airports. You can also book Enter Air where it will operate it's charter package from London Gatwick, UK.

  • Birmingham - resumes 19th February 2020.
  • Bournemouth - resumes 7th November 2020.
  • Bristol - resumes 6th May 2020.
  • Doncaster - resumes 3rd May 2020.
  • London Gatwick - resumes 16th February 2020.

These flights will either be all year or Winter season. You can now book your holiday on TUI's website. TUI will be sending out Boeing 737-800 aircraft to these UK airports with possible Boeing 737 MAX will be sent out if the aircraft might still be grounded.

Top 4 photos of 2019

This year's spotting hasn't been short of flying & spotting so for that reason this will be one of my top four aviation spotting photos of 2019.

4: MD80's is still alive?

The answer is yes in 2019, Europe still has the old McDonnell Douglas with passengers by our old friends Bulgaria Air Charter. This is much of a tribute as we are approaching to 2020 we might expect to see these old MD82's to retire soon. This one with a smokey touchdown into Malta operating by Air Malta with short fleets when two Airbus A320neos are on order.

3: Boeing 737 over the Bournemouth Coast

This photo wasn't popular by my viewers on Facebook but it is in other groups. I've added this in my top 5 because it's been taken in late afternoon in Bournemouth Air Festival 2019 of a Boeing 737 flying over the beach in Bournemouth, UK

2: Top o' the mornin' to ya Aer Lingus

Taken on a freezing cold Irish morning with the sun behind the Aer Lingus tail while I was embarking this Aer Lingus flight to London Gatwick, UK from Dublin, Ireland. If I want to feel the spirit of Ireland, I love to experience the early hours of the morning. And...… maybe a pint of Guinness afterwards.

1: Etihad through the wet

Yes the amazing Boeing 777-300ER by Etihad Airways is my favorite pic of 2019. The reason during the wintry storm ish in Dublin, Ireland from early February I never had any good takeoff photos while the runway is spraying with water when it was snowing & raining during the morning.
