My flight report Flybe Flight BE3032 from Paris Charles de Gaulle, France - Southampton, UK

Airline: Flybe
Flight:BE3032
Type: Bombardier Dash 8 Q400
Registration: G-JECY
Flight of origin: Paris Charles de Gaulle, France Terminal 2E
Destination:Southampton, UK
Flight time: 48 minutes
Type of travel: Non-Schengen within the European Union

I was on the new Flybe livery for the first time named "Scotland" brand on the aircraft. In general I love Flybe' new livery the tail is about right. Anyway after we've boarded the flight, the captain apologised for the delay for our departure at Paris Charles de Gaulle, France because the air traffic control was busy during rush hour in the morning. My complaint is the boarding because Flybe is Terminal 2E, we've boarded the aircraft by bus by Terminal 2G it's not my flight only, other Flybe aircraft to Birmingham, Manchester and my flight Southampton, UK are parked at Terminal 2G. Only my June 23rd flight we've parked at Terminal 2E & walked straight towards passport control.

And so I've boarded the aircraft always love the middle seat next to the propeller. My advice is that if you book a flight that has Dash 8 for aviation enthusiast, this is the best seating location. When the flight is closed we've departing runway 09R a 15 minute long taxiway instead using the nearest to runway 26L I've seen aircraft departing from the gate so why we have a longer taxiway to depart?

There is nothing much to say during the flight despite it's very short with short cabin crew service just like my June 23rd flight. However when airliners travel to the UK international, most cabin crew will give out UK Landing Cards for non-EU passport holders, cabin crew did the passenger announcement on it but not giving out the Landing Cards we did have few non-EU Citizens from Mexico and Japan if they've never been to the UK before then cabin crew should explain & give out Landing Cards. This will include EU Citizens for Brexit when UK withdrawal the European Union. During the flight we was 20,000 ft or 19,999 ft on Flightradar24 with amazing clear sky around the English Channel around the South Coast of England.

And finally we've landed in Southampton, UK runway 02. I was expecting a good landing compare my June 23rd flight to Paris, unfortunately I was wrong we've had a bad touchdown one gear on the left side landed hard while my side touched down hard despite the runway is too small & narrow so ever Flybe Dash 8's land in Southampton have a bit of a habit doing that (depending on the wind).

My overall score from Aircraft Aviation in Europe:

  • Cabin: 10/10
  • Hygienic: 10/10
  • Food: N/A
  • Cabin Crew: 8/10
  • Service: N/A
Overall: 9.5/10
