Malta Air information (16th June 2019)

Malta Air will become the first Maltese low-cost airliner by the owner of Ryanair with similar look to the Austrian low-cost Lauda. Malta Air will soon be operating by six  or more Boeing 737-800 from former Ryanair aircraft in it's brand new livery and Maltese registration with the first aircraft 9H-QAA. When the airline starts operating, Malta Air will be operating flights that belong to Malta based fleet & crew and destinations for the Malta based aircraft.

As of right now, Ryanair has four subsidiaries across Europe soon to expand with similar way to Ryanair's rival Easyjet. Those four Ryanair subsidiaries are:

  • Ryanair - Hub
  • Ryanair UK - During Brexit Ryanair UK will operate UK base
  • Laudamotion
  • Ryanair Sun - From Poland due for re-brand to Buzz in October 2019.

Ryanair will add Malta Air as the fifth subsidiaries to the Ryanair family this remains uncertainty during the competition between Malta Air and Air Malta as Air Malta is owned by the Maltese Government.

When Malta Air will be starting it's service, their will be a blog update of it's aircraft so for now it's too early to hear more information.
