Corendon Boeing 747 Hotel?

Former KLM's Boeing 747-400 made it's final resting place in Amsterdam, The Netherlands almost coming to a year since it made it's final resting place for the Queen of the Skies. PH-BFH originally delivered & brand new to KLM in June 1989 naming her City of Bangkok. KLM's final flight of this 747 from Los Angeles, USA back to Amsterdam in 25th November 2018 making her 30 years old.

KLM immediately withdrawn's City of Bangkok the day after it made it's final flight from LAX & the final disassembly began to become a hotel by Corendon Village Hotel. In February 2019 PH-BFH was completed in full Corendon livery & now converted as a hotel room where it's final resting place right next to the building of  the hotel.

The only thing KLM removed is the engine as you can see it's not real.

From distance, it's a very beautiful looking jumbo jet. As you get closer it seems like you are boarding the aircraft via remote stand, After looking for some research inside this 747 as a hotel I couldn't find any images what it looks like. Sadly I didn't get a chance to get in but hey, it's a wonderful looking Queen of the Skies.

This is not the only aircraft that's turned into a hotel. In mid 2010's a McDonnell Douglas MD-11 was converted into an apartment for Airbnb.com it looks like living inside the MD-11 for life.

You can now book your room on the Corendon website for a large fee to stay inside a Boeing 747 aircraft. The aircraft is located at Schipol Airport next to Ibis Budget. Once you walk through a tunnel, you should be able to see the Queen of the Skies looking right at you.

Air Malta fleet information 17th March 2020

Move away from Coronavirus. Our national carrier Air Malta will be sadly withdrawing one main aircraft where it originally began from the birth of Air Malta.

9H-AEI originally delivered to Air Malta in April 2004 will be leaving the Air Malta fleet the end of this month. It will going to be joining GetJet Airlines in Lithuania. As aircraft starts to get older, Air Malta's future will be bringing more Airbus A320neos into the fleet one-by-one. Although in future their will be no plans for retro brand for any future Air Malta aircraft, I hope it will introduce it again with 9H-AEO in Valletta European Capital of Culture 2018 will be the only special livery left.

Who will takeover Flybe routes?

As you heard already British low-cost carrier Flybe has collapsed yesterday & ceased operations with over 2,000 jobs at risk losing some of the UK's regional airports such as Southampton, Exeter, Belfast, Edinburgh, Leeds, Liverpool, London City, Cardiff and Newquay operated under Flybe & it's franchise. Connecting to it's UK & European destinations with codeshare agreement for Air France, Aer Lingus, British Airways, Emirates, Cathay Pacific, Etihad, United Airlines, Loganair, Singapore Airlines, Alitalia and Virgin Atlantic. Other airline companies have already announced to takeover some of it's Flybe's slots where we will explain who they are.

Scottish carrier Loganair will be taking over 16 Flybe domestic routes which include Aberdeen to Belfast City, Birmingham, Manchester and Jersey. Edinburgh to Cardiff, Exeter, Manchester, Newquay and Southampton. Glasgow to Exeter and Southampton. Inverness to Belfast City, Birmingham and Jersey. And finally Newcastle to Exeter and Southampton.

Eastern Airways has always had good partnership with Flybe with flights under Eastern Airways on behalf of Eastern Airways. With upcoming flights for Eastern Airways by Flybe it will remain unaffected. As Teeside mean't to be it's new flight for Flybe, Eastern Airways will be taking over.

In 2016, Blue Islands based from the Channel Islands agreed to operate under Flybe franchise. All flights who are booked under Flybe to Jersey & Guernsey will be operating by Blue Islands to mainland Britain.

Talks are still underway for regional airports to replace Flybe's international network to Amsterdam in The Netherlands, Paris Charles de Gaulle in France, Dublin in Ireland and many more.

Flybe ceased operations 4th March 2020

British low-cost carrier Flybe has collapsed with all of their aircraft impounded with fears of all Flybe staff will lose their jobs with over 2000 workers across the UK. The Coronavirus has marked Flybe's fears and to secure £100 million loan is now very unlikely.

What does this mean? Flybe has cancelled it's flights within the UK and the EU with all bookings are now effected. Flybe bought Virgin Atlantic where this year it's supposed to be re-branded to Virgin Connect on behalf of Connect Airways.

Flybe was one of Britain's biggest regional airliner that operates regional airports such as Exeter, Southampton, Newquay and many more to connect flights around the world. One of Flybe's biggest and main flights to connect was London Heathrow, Paris Charles de Gaulle, Dublin and Amsterdam.

If you seen my Flight Report on a Flybe flight from Amsterdam, The Netherlands - Southampton, UK back in January that is my final flight for Flybe when the changeover to Virgin begins. I have a video where I'll be uploading this Summer so I'll be making a tribute video along with a flight video.

Originally started in 2002 as a re-brand from Jersey European Airways.

As of 4th March 2020, Flybe fleets had 54 De Havilland Canada Dash 8 Q400, 9 Emrbaer ERJ-170 & 2 ERJ-190 and 5 ATR 72 (operating by Blue Islands.)
