Hi Fly Malta Save the Coral Reef

In 18th July 2018, photos on social media have been spreading when 9H-MIP Airbus A380 arrived in Malta on 4th July 2018 to be painted into a special livery by Hi Fly Malta. With another Airbus A380 currently on order 9H-DBP (No information yet) 9H-MIP is the main attraction & one of the first Maltese airliner to have an Airbus A380 based in Malta. Although it might not be necessary it will visit Malta often like other Hi Fly Malta fleets that they are all over the world, at least we get to see this super jumbo encase it might not return to Malta in the future.

Highlight

The aircraft was new & delivered to Singapore Airlines in 2008 as 9V-SKC based in Singapore. Theirs no information & history of this particular aircraft other than the fact about the airline that when it comes to an age when it was first built & delivered, Singapore Airlines has withdrawn their older Airbus A380's with some either stored in Singapore & else where across the world.

Hi Fly Malta 9H-MIP Airbus A380 seen in Malta taken 4th July 2018.
As the first Maltese Airbus A380 arrived in Malta, Hi Fly Malta was only in white livery with no Singapore Airlines marking. It took two weeks for the special paint on what will the livery be like for Hi Fly Malta until....

Farnborough International Airshow 2018

9H-MIP attended in Farnborough, UK for Farnborough International Airshow 2018 with a special tour inside the cabin. Unfortunately I didn't go inside the aircraft due to time & the line was super long than I was on Boeing C-17A flight deck. So you can see the first side livery showing the coral reefs from today "It's not too late to save the Coral Reefs" It showed the fish & other species till you'll about to see on the other side

A warning message showing that the Coral Reefs will cease to exist by 2050 showing "Coral Reefs  Gone by 2050" water plants of sea weed die & the death of species in the Coral Reefs with fishes as skeletons in purple background of the fuselage and the engines. This warning massages makes it clear when this aircraft travels across the world how the Coral Reef will effect the planet by pollution from the air we breathe, climate change, global warming and dumping litter of plastic bags, packet of crisps, cans & bottles in the water. The tail also a protest & help to save the Coral Reef not just an airline logo they normally do.

Where is 9H-MIP gone now? It's recently had it's first scheduled flight for Thomas Cook after Farnborough, UK. It's currently operating for Norwegian Air UK for flights between London Gatwick, UK - New York JFK, USA until further notice. You can track it down on Flightradar24.
