My Flight Report Ryanair flight FR113 London Gatwick, UK - Dublin, Ireland 30th January 2019.

Airline: Ryanair
Flight: FR113
Type: Boeing 737-800
Registration: EI-DYN
Flight of origin: London Gatwick, UK
Terminal: South Terminal
Destination: Dublin, Republic of Ireland
Terminal: 1
Date:30th January 2019
Flight time: 56 minutes
Type of Travel: Common Travel Area flight within the European Union

I arrived at London Gatwick, UK South Terminal a little bit late because the whole country was suffered with snow & icy conditions. I arrived by train with delay due to ice on the railway lines near the airport & continues onto London. When I checked-in, drop the bags I went straight to the gate where my flight is on final approach to London Gatwick then the gate number showed up. This will be a very short flight report for the reason I traveled with Ryanair a lot so this very short flight is different.

This is also the first time I've traveled on Ryanair to another EU country since I traveled to Malta with them a lot. At the gate, a photo of me get's checked by biometric when my boarding pass is scanned then show another agent my passport & wait at the seat to board the plane. Normally with UK domestic flights, Channel Islands, Isle of Man and Republic of Ireland flights from UK's main airports you'll get your photo checked as I've mentioned biometric.

Finally I've boarded the plane by walking as we know why Ryanair doesn't use jet bridge. The cabin is of course old yellow style cabin from 2009. Takeoff is straight at runway 26L where my gate is by the runway & off we go no turbulence what so ever. During the flight at 33,000ft theirs snow still across the UK so we passed near Hampshire area till we get to Wales where their's some snow.

Cabin crew did their flight service it's not much despite it's a short flight so all they sell is hot drinks, sandwiches and scratch cards. I didn't had their food so I know what they taste like on my past Ryanair flights.

Around the Irish Sea we starred to descend from Dublin Air Traffic Control. During our final approach runway 28, it was calm with no strong wind through the Irish coast it was just perfect! Irish coast on this beautiful morning looks stunning! This is also reasons why I love to visit Ireland again the sea is calm the country is green from the countryside.

And finally I've arrived in Dublin Airport landing was spot on it didn't had the brake so much during reverse thrust because air traffic is not busy compare to London for landing. And so that was my short flight with Ryanair from London Gatwick, UK - Dublin, Ireland. Flight was good, cabin service they did spot on so yeah I've enjoyed it.

Before the final results of the flight I've made a Q&A flights between UK & Republic of Ireland under Common Travel Area flights. I've done a blog similar like this so I'll explain on this blog before continue to another flight report.

1: Do you need a passport? No only British & Irish Citizens will need a Full UK & Irish Drivers Licence depending on the airline.

3: What ID I need for EU/EEA/Swiss Citizens is accepted? As I'm an EU citizen elsewhere so a passport or EU/EEA ID Card  is required. With UK's withdrawal from the EU is around the corner, all other EU/EEA/Swiss citizens will only need a passport after Brexit encase of no deal & no transition period.

4: What ID do you need for Non-EU/EEA passports? Passport with an Irish visa or visiting Ireland from visa free countries.

Last main question. Is the flight domestic or international?

Under the Common Travel Area agreement, this flight is international similar to EU Schengen style. However when arriving in Ireland from the UK & Crown Dependencies, you will need to clear immigration in all airports in the Republic of Ireland. UK/EU/EEA/Swiss citizens have freedom of movement & can use egates. Non-EU Citizens will get their passport stamped into Republic of Ireland. Finally you need to clear through customs at the Blue Channel & you're done.

My overall rating from Aircraft Aviation in Europe:
  • Cabin: 6/10
  • Hygienic: 8/10
  • Food: N/A
  • Cabin Crew: 8/10
  • Service: 9.4/10
Overall: 9.5/10
