This is the final information about Istanbul Atatürk, Turkey for passengers, pilots & crew and spotters. For those who you don't know that Istanbul is opening up a brand new International Airport next Monday while Atatürk will officially be closed for scheduled passenger air traffic. ITA code IST for the current airport will be used to the new Istanbul Airport. Instead Atatürk's ITA code will be ISL.
All airliners on 29th October 2018 for Turkish Airlines, Atlas Global & cargo operations will be transferred to the new Istanbul Airport.
In other airports in the Istanbul area, Sabiha Gökçen airport will not be affected & resume as normal after the new Istanbul Airport is opened.
